A store owner usually chooses between a ready-made platform with monthly fees and a custom build from scratch. DesiCart sits between the two: a complete store and admin panel that we have already built and tested, which we install for each client, brand as theirs, and set up for the way they sell. Everything a store owner changes day to day, from products to delivery fees, is managed from the admin, not in code.
One store, one server
DesiCart is not a shared platform. Each client gets a separate installation:
- Their own server and database, so their customers and orders never sit next to another business's data.
- Their own domain and payment accounts, so money goes straight into their own PayPal, Stripe or bank account.
- Their own pace for upgrades, so a new release can be rolled out one store at a time.
To make that work for many stores without separate versions of the code, everything a client might want different is a setting: brand, contact details, currency, tax, delivery fees, minimum order, payment methods and keys, email account and languages.
The client's brand, set from the admin
The store owner picks 8 base colours, a heading font, a body font and a corner style, or starts from one of 25 presets grouped by store type. Every other shade is worked out from those choices, a contrast check keeps text readable, and a live preview shows the result before saving. The store name, logo, contact details and email sender also come from settings, so nothing in the store or its emails says "DesiCart".
A storefront in English, Urdu and Arabic
Urdu and Arabic are written right to left, so the whole layout mirrors: margins, icons, arrows and tables. Products, categories, blog posts, pages and banners are stored per language, each language has its own web addresses, and search engines are told which page is the translation of which. New languages can be added from the admin.

Payments that work in Pakistan and abroad
- Cash on delivery and bank transfer, with the customer uploading the payment receipt.
- PayPal, including card payments through PayPal.
- Stripe for cards with 3-D Secure, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Each store switches methods on and enters its own gateway keys in the admin; the keys are stored encrypted. The amount charged is always worked out on the server, never taken from the browser. One payment can only ever create one order, and if an item sells out after the customer has paid, the payment is refunded automatically.
A checkout that does not oversell
Two customers buying the last unit at the same moment cannot both succeed. Coupons are checked again at the moment of ordering. A guest who types an email that already has an account is asked to log in instead of the order being attached to someone else's account. The delivery fee, free-delivery threshold, minimum order and tax set in the admin are applied the same way in the cart and at checkout, so the total the customer sees is the total they pay. If anything fails, nothing half-finished is left in the database.

The admin panel
Products with variations and attributes, categories, brands, coupons, orders, refunds and returns, reviews, pages, blog, menus, banners, currencies and languages. Staff get roles with specific permissions, every change is recorded in an audit log, and reports export to PDF. Admin logins use two-factor authentication with lockout after repeated failures.
Marketing with AI, with guardrails
Small stores rarely have a marketing team, so DesiCart includes an ad assistant. It writes Facebook ad copy in English or Urdu from the product's real name, description and price, and is not allowed to invent discounts, reviews or awards. It can study competitor ads for ideas without copying their words. Every ad waits for a person to approve it, spending limits are checked on every action, and ads are created paused and switched on only when every part is in place. It works with more than one AI provider, so a store is not tied to one.
Try it yourself
The public test install runs on demo products. You can create an account and try it yourself, or ask us for a walk-through.
What this means for your store
If you sell in Pakistan and want cash on delivery, bank transfer and card payments, a store in Urdu as well as English, and your data on your own server, DesiCart gets you there without building from zero. If your business needs something it does not do, we build that too: see our e-commerce development service.
